My yoga practice began close to 15 years ago. It began as a physical practice; a way feel good while raising children and taking care of my husband.  However, very quickly it became something much bigger for me.  I found a connection between placing my body in certain poses and the sense of well being that I felt when I was finished. Practicing yoga brought me physical comfort and mental peace.  Yoga has been the impetus for years of self-exploration and self-discovery.  My own yoga practice continues to unfold in a way that is both amazing and humbling.  Yoga makes me a better mom, a better wife, and a better human.

As a teacher, I encourage my students to use their yoga practice as a way to discover the body, mind, and spirit.  I encourage folks to listen to their own bodies and decide what they need from their practice.  Students open their bodies while maintaining strength and connection to the breath.  We focus on moving with the breath as a way of calming the mind.

As a yoga teacher, I hope to guide students on a path of self-discovery that allows them to uncover their true nature through connection to the breath.
