My journey into yoga started because I wanted an alternative form of exercise- I was definitely not the running or gym type. In April of 2007 I started practicing at East Meets West Yoga. I noticed the changes in my life almost immediately and have been practicing yoga ever since. In working with the amazing teachers at EMW, my yoga practice quite literally became a life-altering experience.

In my typical Slow Vinyasa class, I tend to focus a lot on increasing spaciousness and mobility in the body, as well as building strength through careful and deliberate transitions from pose-to-pose. My teaching has evolved a lot since I first started in 2012, and I find that putting conscious thought behind transitions allows for practitioners to develop a strong and safe practice.
